Shipping Items Home

Sometimes items you purchase just don’t fit into your luggage. For example, a lightsaber you built in Star Wars: Galaxies Edge. Or an item you don’t want to get damaged by baggage handlers at the airport, such as a piece of art, or breakable figurine.

There are many post offices and places you can ship things within the vicinity of the Disneyland Resort. The ones listed below are just a short Uber or Taxi ride away if you do not have a car.

FedEx - Anaheim Convention Center

Hilton Anaheim Hotel – 700 W Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802

Embassy Suites Hotel – 777 W Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802

There are two FedEx locations in both the Hilton Anaheim Hotel, and Embassy Suites Hotel. They are right across the street from each other, and right next to the Anaheim Convention Center. I personally have used the Fedex Office in the Hilton, and found it was difficult to locate from the main hotel lobby. However there is a door right in front of it that is a little hidden. So go past the main lobby towards the far side of the building and you should find it. You can always ask a hotel staff member to help you find it. I would definitely recommend taking an Uber here, as it is about a 20-25 minute walk from the resort. It is about a 9 minute drive.

USPS Post Office

1180 W Ball Rd, Anaheim, CA 92812

If you prefer to go to an actual post office, this is the closest one to the parks. It is about a 5 minute drive, or 30 minute walk.

UPS Customer Center

1331 S Vernon St, Anaheim, CA 92805

This UPS is a full sized shipping office, compared the FedEx locations. It is about a 9 minute drive, or 45 minute walk.

Important Notes

If you are staying at a Disney owned hotel, they will be able to help you ship things home, directly from the hotel, just go down to the main lobby and a Cast Member will be able to help you, as they have all the needed supplies at one of the desks.

Also, if you purchase your item from most stores in the parks (this does not include kiosks), they should be able to help you ship things home as well. Some exclusions apply, such as a personalized ornament from the Christmas Shop in Fantasyland.

My Personal Experience

My experience shipping items home was a very stressful one. I had purchased a personalized art piece from a kiosk in the park, that was very large. I was all alone on my first solo trip and did not know what to do. I was so overwhelmed, that I ended up having a little cry, right on Main Street. So, I went to the Chamber of Commerce in DCA, and while they were not able to help me, the very kind Cast Members helped to look up the nearest shipping office for me. And after much thought in my hotel room that night, I formulated a plan. So the next morning, I took my scooter and the items I needed to ship, and rode it all the way to the Hilton Anaheim Hotel FedEx Office. In retrospect, next time I need to ship something, I will definitely take an Uber. But everything was sorted and ended up fine, with my items delivered to my door about a week after I had returned home.

The beautiful cause of my stress

So, learning how to ship things home was definitely a valuable thing to learn, and I hope my experience was able to teach you how to do it as well. Don’t be afraid, it really is a very easy process. Have you ever had to ship something home from your trip? Let me know in the comments. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or one of the locations listed directly.
